Brita Long graduated from Furman University in 2009, double-majoring in History and in French, with a concentration in Women’s & Gender Studies.
Since then, she’s lived in 11 apartments or houses in 9 cities in 3 countries (not counting all the times she crashed with her parents). She currently lives in Forsyth County, GA, but dreams of returning to Paris one day.
Brita married her husband Dan on March 22, 2014, in an intimate wedding with just parents and siblings. They then celebrated with three wedding receptions between Greenwood, SC and Findlay, OH.
Brita has lived with Crohn’s Disease for over 20 years. She is currently managing an active flare of her chronic illness. Between treatments, tests, medical billing, and health insurance, Crohn’s Disease is a part-time job.
Thanks to her parents’ influence, Brita has been both a Christian and a feminist for as long as she can remember. Her favorite Bible verses include Genesis 1:27 and Galatians 3:28.
Brita founded Muddling Through Together in honor of her mother. She hopes this community will allow Christian women to grow together as they learn from one another.
