In 2000, Lee Haugen Long self-published Muddling Through, a book of prayers for women. Although she started writing prayers to publish a sequel, cancer took her away before she could finish her work.
In 2016, Lee’s daughter, Brita, found both the original digital files for Muddling Through as well as a handful of prayers intended for the sequel. She compiled the new prayers with the old to create Muddling Through Again, a second edition of the original women’s prayer book.
Brita also launched the online community Muddling Through Together. This website and the Facebook group allow Christian women to share their joys and their sorrows, their triumphs and their struggles, all while keeping God at the center of their lives.

About the Author, Lee Long
Lee Haugen Long was a devout Christian for most of her adult life. Lee always wanted to know more about the Bible. She worked constantly to deepen her relationship with God. That said, she still struggled with her faith and questioned God on the things she didn’t understand. But even when she doubted, Lee did her best to maintain her trust in God and in God’s will.

About the Editor, Brita Long
Brita was about 9 years old when a week at Vacation Bible School changed her life. While she had been raised in a Christian home, and her parents had introduced her to Jesus, this VBS alter call is when she devoted her life to the Lord.
Her parents continued to inspire Brita in both her faith and in her feminism. Now she runs the successful Christian feminist lifestyle blog Belle Brita where she writes about marriage, travel, her grief journey, and more, all through a Christian feminist perspective.
