Books for Christian Women
While we certainly encourage you to purchase our own book of prayers, Muddling Through Again, we also want to suggest other books to help you on your Christian journey. At least one contributor to our website has read and recommended each book below.
Opinions expressed in these books do not necessarily reflect the views of Brita Long or any of the individual Christian women on this website.
Brita’s personal recommendations are noted, as are the Christian books she found among Lee’s collection.

Blogs for Christian Women
Muddling Through Together represents a diverse group of Christian women writers. We hope our collective blog inspires your Christian faith.
We are not just blog writers–we are blog readers as well. Let us know if we should add any websites to our list of blogs for Christian women!
Christian Feminist Blogs
Sarah was born and raised in the prairies and foothills of western Canada. She and her husband have four children together. Sarah is a pseudo-hermit bookworm, an enthusiastic knitter, hockey fan, and a total hugger. Endlessly fascinated with Jesus, she has written several best-selling books on her faith.
Jory wrote her master’s thesis on female leadership in the first and second centuries of the Christian Church, using the Bible as herprimary source. She lives to to tell others about Christ’s amazing, non-judgmental love, as well as His radical counter-cultural empowerment of women and girls.
Sarah Over the Moon on Patheos
Sarah Moon was raised in fundamentalist Christianity for the first 20 years of her life, during which she survived an abusive relationship, experienced a couple of cult-like church settings, and won a few Bible Quizzing matches. Today she identifies as a universalist Christian, and she attends a United Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio. Sarah is interested in queer, feminist/womanist, and liberation theologies.
Samantha grew up in a Christian fundamentalist cult, but escaped as a young adult. She writes about her experiences as a bisexual woman and abuse survivor. Her blog also explores intersectional feminism and liberation theology.
Blogs on Racial Justice and Reconciliation
Christena is a social psychologist, public theologian, author and professor. She works as an Associate Professor of the Practice of Organizational Studies at Duke University’s Divinity School. On her blog she covers social psychology, spirituality, and justice.
Austin Channing Brown (recommended by Christena Cleveland)
Austin’s blog supports the work of racial justice and reconciliation. She writes about the intersections of her race, gender and faith.
Christian Lifestyle Blogs
Charlene Maugeri inspires young wives to keep God first and their husbands second in everything they do. Enduring All Things is a place for wives (and husbands) to find marriage tips, ideas for dating your spouse, and advice based on biblical principles.
Susannah’s blog encourages the simple life in all things: faith, marriage, parenting, travel, food, or anything else. She offers respectful discussion about her Christian faith and focuses on the most important thing – the Grace of Jesus.
Kiki blogs about her love for Jesus. At In Its Time, you’ll also read about her hopes, dreams, worries, and prayers. Kiki believes authenticity, vulnerability, and openness brings people together.
Some describe Alessia Cesana as the Catholic It Girl–but she doesn’t. Her blog features musings about life as an entrepreneur, as a single city-dweller, as a One Nation Tory in the 21st century, and as a Catholic woman in a world where that’s highly counter-cultural.
Happy reading!
